"Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I wanted to give the whole band a
chance to listen to what you had done. Me and the band went over what you
sent and we arent sure you are what we are looking for. I do hope for the
best for you and your music though! don't get discouraged. you'll find the
right musicians!
Peace buddy and thanks for the interest. It really means a lot"

Fear not. As a writer, rejection comes with the territory. I have had more rejections than publications. And that's the way it goes.
Think about Harry Potter. It was rejected how many times before someone thought it was worth a second look?
The people who passed on it are now busy kicking their arses.
Keep at it.

Dude,
Everybody in the music biz passed on Trent Rezner too.
I have a friend that decided she was going to be a art professor at the university level.
She showed me her stack of rejection letters. There were something like 375 of them. She decided that for every rejection she'd send out two more resumes. Then when she finally did get her dream job, she did a preformance piece where she burned all of her rejection letters one by one.

If you are given a lemon... Make lemonaid.
Hey, thats actually my cliche of the day as well.
Keep trying my friend.
Nat and LSD- I do understand this is the nature of breaking into this kind of thing. Disappointment is natural considering I really dig their music. The hard part is finding the fine line between truly believing in one's self to have what it takes and setting your self up for being crushed by rejection. I think I did okay on this because I have decided to record vocals over their instrumental and send it to them anyway. Also, I am speaking to other bands that have caught my attention.
HJ- Yup. Next time, Gadget. Next time.
